The Council of the College performs all the functions, including the development of a College Statute, which is necessary to govern a Public FET College, subject to this act and any applicable act , National or Provincial law.
The Council must, with the concurrence of all its sub committees and relevant stakeholders:
Develop a strategic plan for the College which must incorporate the mission, vision, goals and planning for funding of the College. Address past imbalances and gender and disability matters including safety measures for a safe learning environment for students, lectures and support staff.
Council is responsible for Governance of the College.
