Early Childhood Development Course

In today's demanding world, educating and raising a child is a real challenge!! Enrol at the ECD Campus for Early Childhood Development Practitioner Training and ensure that you are well equipped for parenting and the job market. Upgrade you current ECD qualification.

The ECD Campus is one of the first training centres to offer Early Childhood Development Practioners training courses registered with SAQA. Learners obtaining our qualifications will be equipped with the best relevant skills to teach children from birth to Grade R (reception year)

Full time courses, In-Service training programmes for unqualified or under qualified pre-primary school teachers learners will acquire recognised SAQA qualifications up to Diploma level.

Entry Requirements: Grade 10/12 or Educare

 


Courses are accredited Nationally, by SAQA and  ETDP SETA.

The following courses provide specialised training and personality development of practitioners for the efficient caring and education of the young child (0-6 years), based on the new curriculum.
 

CERTIFICATE AND DIPLOMA COURSES:

 

• Enrolment in January and July of each year.
 
Level 4  FET  Certificate : Early Childhood Development
Credits: Minimum 140
Duration: Minimum 12  months
 

 

Level 5  National Higher Certificate : Certificate and National Diploma
Credits: Minimum 240
Duration: Minimum 24 months


 

Obtain a professional qualification while working or full-time studies. Attend classes. Do practical training at approved pre-school centres and Grade R classes at Primary Schools. Work in groups, sharing knowledge and skills. Use our IT Centre to do research on ECD related topics.  Learn to apply OBE in the pre-school and Grade R Trainers will visit you frequently at your workplace for assessment.
